Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney has raved about Matt Macey in The Scottish Sun.
The Arsenal star has praised Macey for the attitude he showed when he was at the Gunners.
Tierney has hailed the 26-year-old goalkeeper for the way he trained at Arsenal and is happy that things are going well for him at Hibernian.
The English goalkeeper joined Arsenal from Bristol Rovers in 2013.
As reported by The Sun, the Gunners paid Rovers a compensation fee of £100,000.
Arsenal sold the 26-year-old to Scottish side Hibernian in January 2021.

What’s been said
Tierney told The Scottish Sun about Macey: ”Matt was unfortunate in that there weren’t many chances for him at Arsenal. But I knew how good he was and felt sure he could do a great job for Hibs.
“He’s signed a new deal at Easter Road, and speaking to him I know how much he’s enjoying it there. Hopefully, Matt can kick on and establish himself as the No 1 next season.
“That would be amazing for him. He’s a genuine guy with a lot of ability. Matt’s a hard worker. At Arsenal it wasn’t easy for him, not getting games.
“But every day in training he was on it 100 per cent, so he deserves the opportunity at a big club like Hibs.”

Arsenal exit made sense
Macey was at Arsenal for almost a decade, but the 26-year-old failed to establish himself in the first team.
According to The Scottish Sun, the Englishman made only two appearances in the Gunners’ first team.
It made sense for Macey to join Hibernian because he would get more chances at Easter Road.
Hibs are an established club in the Scottish Premiership who finished third in the league last season.
The goalkeeper made two appearances in the Scottish Premiership and played four times in the Scottish Cup during the second half of last season.
