Declan Rice told Crouchy’s Year-Late Euros that Arsenal teenager Bukayo Saka has been the standout for him in the England camp.
The West Ham midfielder shared that wherever you play the Arsenal academy product, he provides you with the ‘same effort’ and the ‘same intensity’.
Saka was a standout performer for England during their last group game at Euro 2020 when the speedster walked away with the Man of the Match award.
But Rice shared that he knew Saka was that good and that he had that type of performance against the Czech Republic in his locker.
“I am going to say Saka (on who has been most impressive in the England camp),” said Rice. “I knew he had that type of performance in him.
“In training, you can play him left wing-back, you can play him as a number ten, you can play him as a right-winger and he’ll give you the same effort and the same intensity.
“His left foot is so sweet. He holds people off and I have got really close to him during this trip. He’s just the nicest kid ever.
“And everyone actually loves him. He’s a top boy.”

That performance against the Czech’s is surely worthy of Saka starting against Germany on Tuesday.
England may find that a midfield led by Toni Kross might just dominate proceeding at Wembley tomorrow.
So, when the Three Lions do get the chance to break then they will have to do it with speed, precision and intelligence.
They are boxes that Saka ticks, but because he didn’t start the first two group games, he might find himself returning to the bench tomorrow.
