Matt Lucas has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to speculation that Aston Villa want to sign Emile Smith Rowe from Arsenal.
What’s the story?
The Athletic has reported today that Villa have made a second bid of £30 million for Smith Rowe.
The Villans’ opening offer of £25 million was turned down by the Gunners.
Arsenal have rejected the Villans’ second bid as well.
The North London club are adamant that they will not sell the 20-year-old attacking midfielder this sumer.
Matt Lucas’s proposal
English actor and comedian Lucas is an Arsenal fan, and he has made an interesting proposal.
The 47-year-old has suggested – perhaps jokingly – that Arsenal should sell Smith Rowe to Villa, but only if they get £500 million and attacking midfielder Jack Grealish in return.
Impossible swap deal
It is impossible that Villa will pay £500 million and Grealish for Smith Rowe.
It is never ever going to happen.

Clearly, Villa – or any club for that matter – will not pay that much amount for any player.
No, not even for Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappe or Neymar.
Despite Villa’s insistence on signing Smith Rowe, it is unlikely that Arsenal will sell him for any price.
