Popular 2000s Rappers Soulja Boy and Bow Wow are finally facing each other off in a Verzuz battle.
After weeks of taking jabs at each other on social media, the two locked horns with each other in their much anticipated Verzuz TV battle.
The event is live-streaming on the Verzuz Instagram page since it started at 5 PM PT/8 PM ET.
While the rappers will go against each other in a musical battle for the first time, the two have had a long-standing beef in the past.
Most recently, in early June the two took jabs at each other about one another’s net worth.
What is Soulja Boy’s net worth?

When he was only six, his family moved to Atlanta, Georgia, thus beginning his early fascination with Rap. In November 2005, when was only 14, Soulja Boy posted his songs on the website SoundClick.
Once his work started getting mild recognition, he made his accounts on YouTube and MySpace.
His claim to fame came with his September 2007 song Crank That (Soulja Boy). The song peaked the music charts across America and was number-one in the US for seven non-consecutive weeks starting.
The rapper’s 2007 song Crank That (Soulja Boy) was released with his first independent album, Unsigned and Still Major: Da Album Before da Album. The song hit the number 1 spot on Billboard Hot 100 charts and remained there for seven consecutive weeks.
Ever since the release of his first major-label album Souljaboytellem.com there was no stopping the young rapper. He reached number four on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart.
Aside from his music career one of the rapper’s most infamous stint was him challenging rapper Bow Wow to a race in their expensive sports cars. Both of them raced their Lamborghinis at the time.
The incident started a long standing beef between the two.

Between 2007 to 2010, Soulja Boy produced some of his most career-defining songs. His famous songs’ list includes, Turn My Swag On (2008), Kiss Me Thru the Phone (2008), Booty Got Swag (2008), Blowin’ me Kisses (2010), 30 Thousand 100 million (2010) to name a few.
He has collaborated with artists like Lil’ B from The Pack, and Arab, from the S.O.D. Money Gang, Gucci Mane, Shawty Lo and Bow Wow himself among others.
One of his other famous albums is The DeAndre Way (2010). His fourth studio album Loyalty came out in 2015. His most recent work is his 2019 album How Can You Blame Me?.
Beef with Bow Wow explored
While the Bow Wow vs Soulja Boy Verzuz TV battle is gaining all the limelight now, the duo’s long-standing beef was a newsmaker before this.
The rapper’s first collaborated on Bow Wow’s 2008 single Marco Polo from his New Jack City II album but it was ultimately cut from the tracklist after drama ensued between them.
The Lamborghinis racing incident was another low point in their relationship. Following that, Soulja Boy released the diss track F**k Bow Wow and the latter responded three days later with his own diss track What I Think About You.
