Spartak Moscow striker Jordan Larsson is “not ready” for a move to West Ham United this summer, former Premier League scout Pavel Kucherov has told SportBox.

Larsson Jr has certainly learned a thing or two from his famous father.

Like Celtic legend Henrik, this is a striker with a ravenous appetite for goals.

He averaged almost one in two for Russian giants Spartak Moscow last season, with his impressive form catching the eye of West Ham and a Borussia Dortmund side already on the lookout for strikers capable of succeeding the irrepressible Erling Haaland – even if the Norwegian superstar isn’t excepted to leave until 2022.

Could Henrik Larsson’s son join West Ham?

In April, Goal said Jordan Larsson was a man in high demand.

But, according to Kucherov, an experienced talent-spotter who worked for Arsenal and Everton, a move to England would be too much too soon for a 24-year-old with a lot left to learn.

“West Ham? This is a completely different level and a championship for which Larsson is not yet ready,” he says of a man who spent a brief spell in Barcelona’s La Masia academy as his father was winning the Champions League in blue and red.

“You have to go there as a player who is already mature in all respects – both in terms of experience and in physical terms. You have to go there as a man. In this respect, the German championship would be good for Larsson.

“How much could Spartak sell Larsson to Borussia? For no more than €10 million (£9 million).

“€10 million could be called a very good transfer for the Moscow club. It is clear Spartak dream of the maximum amount – €25 million to €30 million. But that kind of money, in my opinion, is not yet worth it, and Borussia are unlikely to pay so much.”

Spartak president Leonid Fedun insists the club won’t accept less than €100 million for Larsson.

They do say actions speak louder than words, however, and if Dortmund or West Ham bid £20 million, expect Spartak to sell.
