Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to react after Bournemouth forward Arnaut Danjuma said he’d be interested in a move to Elland Road.
What’s the story?
Well, the 24-year-old sat down for an interview with Voetbal International, where he was randomly asked his thoughts on a move to Leeds.
As quoted by Voetbal International, Danjuma said: “Leeds is a bigger institution than Bournemouth, has a very nice history and they play Premier League.
“I don’t think I can play another Championship season, I’ve outgrown the competition a bit. Leeds United would be a nice step.”
Now, that’s a very, very interesting revelation, even if a somewhat foolish one to admit while still at Bournemouth.
The 2-cap Netherlands international risks tarnishing his reputation with the Cherries by speaking about leaving the club like this.
Would Arnaut Danjuma be a good signing?

In our view, Marcelo Bielsa won’t be a fan of the apparent arrogance in Danjuma’s comments.
However, purely from a footballing point of view, he would be a fantastic signing.
Danjuma impressed in 2020/21 with 17 goals in all competitions, while he also provided eight assists.

The £13.7 million winger typically operates on the left wing, so he would provide healthy competition for Jack Harrison.
Danjuma can also operate on the right, so Bielsa would have depth for both Harrison and Raphinha on either flank.
Let’s see what the Leeds fans on Twitter have been saying about his comments…
