Rio Ferdinand lauded Tottenham & Everton-linked manager, Roberto Martinez, and the job he is currently doing with Belgium at Euro 2020.
The former centre-back told Match of the Day that Martinez, who previously managed Everton, is playing some ‘really good football’ at the major tournament.
Amid the rumours of Everton possibly pushing for Rafa Benitez, ESPN claim that they could still push for Martinez’s signature, whilst Spurs are in the same boat regarding the Belgium boss.
There doesn’t seem to be any clear idea as to who Tottenham and Everton will appoint to their dugouts, but Martinez has been lauded by Ferdinand, as the two teams continue to search for that fresh face.
“They have done in a way in which their fans and their people will be enjoying,” said Ferdinand. “I think they have played some really good football.
“With Martinez, I think he’s meticulous. The attention to detail. Tactically, he has got the set-up really well.
“And he has got all his attacking and creative players all ready and in-form.”

With the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Kevin de Bruyne at his disposal, there is no reason why the Belgian’s shouldn’t, at the very least, reach the semi-finals of Euro 2020.
Some would even consider them not winning the whole thing as a failure because of the attacking depth Martinez has to choose from.
Belgium have won three out of three games, so far, and that included Eden Hazard only starting one game and De Bruyne missing the first.
But with Martinez’s reputation a bit mixed in England, it will be interesting to see the reaction of Everton and Spurs if he does indeed lift the European Championship because his stock will certainly hit the roof.
