Gary Neville told ITV on Tuesday evening that Tottenham striker Harry Kane was ‘absolutely not’ affected by recent form during England’s 1-0 win against the Czech Republic at Wembley.
It may have been another game without a goal for the Tottenham hitman, but Neville thinks ‘the goals will come’ for the player.
It was Raheem Sterling who scored the only goal of the game yesterday, as England recorded a valuable three points during their final group game of Euro 2020.
But Neville made a clear point about Kane during England’s win yesterday and debunked any previous thoughts.
“We said before the game, would he be affected by the last couple of games,” said Neville.
“He’s absolutely not. He’s methodical. That’s what he does. Touch and hit. And the goals will come.”

The big difference between Kane during the game against the Czech’s is that he was missing chances.
He had a guilt-edge chance in the first half when he cut it onto his right foot, only for the goalkeeper to save his effort.
But with Jack Grealish on the field, and Bukayo Saka running the opposition ragged on the other side, Kane was getting more involved compared to previous matches.
Now, it’s a case of continuing that and Kane will then prove that form is temporary and class is permanent.
