A TikTok video of a boy has gone viral after he was lifted off the ground in a tug of war battle while feeding a giraffe.

Ever played a game of tug of war with a giraffe? Nope, neither have I.

You shouldn’t underestimate the strength of them either, as the latest viral video posted by UNILAD Adventure shows a boy in a battle with a giraffe for a leaf.

Spoiler: the giraffe won.

WATCH: Boy vs giraffe

I don’t know about you, but if I was the kid, I would’ve let go as soon as my feet were off the ground. Yet this boy had the strength and guts to battle against the giraffe for food.

The highlight of the video has got to be the high-pitched screaming, while he proceeds to hold onto the leaf.

Fortunately, the boy was rescued by a male and a female, likely to be his family, pulling him down onto the ground shouting, “Mason, let go!”.

If Mason didn’t release the branch, it looked like the giraffe could possibly lift up the entire family as well.

To be honest it looks fun to be lifted off the ground like that, provided a safe landing. There’s also no need to worry about being devoured by them since they’re herbivores.

Although, you should be concerned about getting swung at with their heads, like a wrecking ball, or getting kicked, since these are their two main forms of weapons.

It’s unclear the location of the zoo but judging from the accents, it is likely that the video was filmed in the US.

“Kiddos gotta let go!”

The internet is team giraffe, with all comments deciding that the event was the boy’s fault for not letting go. They claim that when feeding giraffes, the feeder should let go.

Although one user has defended the boy, saying that when they feed sheep, they hold onto the leaf so it’s as if they are eating off a branch. However, some have responded, “Not when you weigh 55lbs” and “Well, that’s not a sheep my guy”.

However, others are more interested in the strength of the leaf and its ability to withstand the boy’s weight while he’s being flung.

As one comment said, “the real MVP here is that leaf”.
