Former US President Donald Trump released his Father’s day statement yesterday on Sunday, June 20 and Twitter cannot stop talking about his message.

Trump might just be the king of gaffes!

The 45th President recently put out his Father’s Day statement and many thought it was bizarre.

This year Mr Trump took the opportunity to send a heartwarming and encouraging message to father’s worldwide and used it to hit out at his critics, penning a searing message for his political opponents.

Naturally, twitter went into a frenzy once his statement was posted on the platform by Right Side Broadcasting Network (RSBN).

Trump’s Father’s Day statement explored

The statement read, “Happy Father’s Day to all, including the Radical Left, RINOs, and other Losers of the world. Hopefully, eventually, everyone will come together!”

It also had ‘Save America’ written on top of it.

For the uninitiated, RINO is an acronym for “Republican-in-name-only.” It’s a pejorative term commonly used by the 45th US President and his supporters to criticize Republicans like Sen. Mitt Romney as well as Rep. Liz Cheney.

This isn’t the first time Trump has used the occasion to launch an attack aimed at his opponents. Back in 2019, he wrote, “Happy Father’s Day to all, including my worst and most vicious critics, of which there are fewer and fewer. This is a FANTASTIC time to be an American! KEEP AMERICA GREAT!”

Twitter reacts to former President’s statement

Trump has had a weird relationship with Twitter. He was one of the platform’s most active users until he was permanently banned by the platform following the Jan 6, Capitol Hill incident.

The former President’s father’s day statement did evoke some responses but none nearly as radical as his tweets had in the past.

One user wrote, “Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers except Donald Trump.”

Poking fun that the former President another user said, “Not defending Donald Trump but if I had a son like Jr I’d have done the same thing father’s day or any other time he calls.”

Taking the satire route a third user wrote, “Such an outstanding, well-written statement made by DJ Trump. He represents who Americans are and exactly what they deserve. **Satire, for those that are literal.”

A look at all the Trump children

The former US president has five children between the ages of 44 to 15. He had three children, Donald Jr.(1977), Ivanka (1981) and Eric (1984) with his first wife Ivana Marie Trump.

Following the pair’s divorce in 1992, Trump married actress Marla Maples and the two share daughter, Tiffany (1993). Following a second divorce in 1999, Trump remained a bachelor for a few years before finally tying the knot for the third time in 2005 with model Melania Knauss (now Trump).

The pair shares son Barron (born 2006).
