Albert Sambi Lokonga’s potential move to Arsenal is said to be drawing closer and closer to a move to the Emirates Stadium every day by DH Net.

Arsenal have made the Anderlecht captain one of their first choice signings this summer, and it seems that a deal is nearly done.

Lokonga has apparently agreed personal terms with Arsenal and now has his heart set on a move to North London.

However, Arsenal’s offer is not yet enough to convince Anderlecht to sell one of their prized prospects.

Despite that, the deal is said to be progressing well and the Belgian report claims that the transfer is drawing closer.

Lokonga’s role at Arsenal

If Lokonga does arrive at Arsenal it seems most likely that he will be signed to add depth in the midfield area.

The 21-year-old seems to have vast potential, but there must be some doubts over whether he would have the ability to immediately step in and be a regular starter for Mikel Arteta’s side.

If Arsenal do complete the transfer it may also cast further doubt over the futures of the likes of Mohamed Elneny, Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Joe Willock.
