Shop till your hearts content with no post-spree guilt, by opting into Amazon Smile, where a portion of your spend is donated to charities.
After the initial enthusiasm attempting to pick up new hobbies during lockdown died down, many people reverted to buying random useless items online. It also didn’t help that so many products became TikTok famous, causing stocks to go dry.
It’s become such a known thing that people bought unnecessary items, so much that users have filmed ‘things TikTok made me buy’ videos.
Now that lockdown has eased around world, it seems like the perfect excuse to go on a spree to, you know, celebrate the world resuming back to normal. Plus, how could you pass up Prime Day?
But if you can’t justify spending more this June 21-22, AmazonSmile will serve you that purpose.
What is AmazonSmile?
AmazonSmile is a scheme which donates a portion of your spending to your chosen charity, so there’s no extra cost on top of your purchase.
This Prime Day on June 21-22, the site will double donations on all eligible purchases. Usually, 0.5% of the item cost is donated, but now 1% will be contributed.
Since launching in 2013, the program has donated more than $215 million globally to organisations, ranging from environment & animal charities to equality & diversity.
