According to Kristof Terreur, Arsenal are ‘quite sure’ of signing Albert Sambi Lokonga, with a deal expected to be done soon.
What’s the story?
Well, speaking on The Football Terrace, the Belgian journalist explained how Arsenal are pretty confident of signing the 21-year-old.
Terreur said: “Arsenal don’t have a lot of competition, so they’re quite sure they’ll get him. It’s one that, if it doesn’t happen on Monday, it will be Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday or the Monday after.”
By the sounds of it, the Gunners seem confident enough to take their time over this deal.
As Terreur stated in the video, Lokonga still has some holiday time left, so a concrete development might not happen until he returns from his break.
However, with not a lot of competition for the Belgian, it seems Mikel Arteta and Edu are happy to be patient.
Lokonga could be great for Arsenal

If there’s one place Premier League clubs should do more shopping in, it’s the Belgian Pro League.
Players such as Kevin De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku have swapped the division for England’s top-flight in the past, and have gone on to shine.
It mustn’t be forgotten that Christian Benteke also arrived at Aston Villa after leaving the Pro League, and became one of England’s best strikers.

Lokonga is still young, so it’s unfair to expect De Bruyne levels immediately.
However, as captain of Anderlecht at such a young age, there’s definitely reason to be excited about what he can bring to Arsenal.
Keep an eye on this saga. If Terreur is to be trusted, we could see a big development over the course of the next ten days.
