Jagame Thandhiram: Filming locations revealed

  • Filming for Jagame Thandhiram took place primarily in the United Kingdom.

Filming began in August 2019 and was done in a single schedule of 64 days straight in London. Sash, a film producer at YNOT Studios, the production company for the film, posted on his Instagram, to say they had wrapped filming on 7th November 2019.

Following this, the cast and crew headed to India to continue filming the rest of the Jagame Thandhiram, in locations such as Madurai, Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan. On 29th December 2019, lead actor Dhanush took to his Twitter to say “That’s a wrap for D40. One of the quickest films I have done -this one is going to be special”.

YNOT Studios announced in early 2020 that their film was in post-production but that it would be wrapped up by March 2020, which is when they would start doing promo for a release date of 1st May 2020.

However, this is around the time the pandemic imposed restrictions on the film industry, meaning the film was delayed for over a year, which is why it has only just released.
