Bukayo Saka admits that he was left awestruck by Aston Villa star Jack Grealish’s goal in England training, as per his comments to the Diary Room.
Grealish scored with a belting volley in the Three Lions camp, which quickly went viral on Twitter.
The Villa captain flicked the ball up, swivelled and then lashed a shot beyond Sam Johnstone and into the top corner.
Not only did it leave Aston Villa fans purring in delight, but it also impressed Saka who was watching on.
“Jack is sick, man. That volley that he did was mad,” the Arsenal youngster said.
“The volley was the one I was trying to get my head around how to score it.
‘He did it perfectly, a side winder straight in the top bins and he called it before, which made it even crazier!”
Grealish to feature tonight?
Despite the impressive goal in training, Gareth Southgate is actually yet to use Grealish at the European Championships.
The Villa man was controversially left on the bench for England’s opener against Croatia, and was not even used as a substitute.
It now remains to be seen whether the 25-year-old will feature tonight against Scotland.
England may need Grealish’s creativity against a Scotland defence who look likely to sit deep, as they look to build on their winning start at the tournament.
