Aston Villa attacking midfielder Jack Grealish has told talkSPORT that Leeds United fans always send him messages on Twitter.
Leeds and Villa have developed an intensive rivalry in recent seasons.
The two sets of fans will remember what happened in the 2018-19 season.
Grealish, who can also play as a winger, has said that Leeds fans message him on Twitter all the time.
The England international – valued at £100 million by Villa amid interest from Manchester City, according to The Express & Star in April – has also said that he has asked Leeds midfielder Kalvin Phillips to tell the Elland Road faithful not to message him.
Phillips and Grealish are part of the England squad for the Euro 2020 finals and will play a big role in the Three Lions’ quest to win the tournament.
Grealish told talkSPORT: “I don’t know if you know, but I get absolutely caned by Leeds fans 24/7.
“So I always say to him, ‘tell your fans to stop messaging me in Twitter, man!’ Me and Kalv always have a bit of banter about that.”
It seems that the messages from Leeds fans to Grealish are more banter than anything.
The Villa star would probably like the Leeds supporters not to incessantly message him.
After all, Grealish would be getting notifications all the time.
However, from his aforementioned comments, it seems that Grealish takes it as good fun and does not seem to be negatively affected by it.
