It has already been quite the year for horror fans…
We have been invited to venture into the backwoods once again with a Wrong Turn reboot, lured into an animatronic hell courtesy of Willy’s Wonderland, and even forced to play another game thanks to Spiral: From the Book of Saw.
Along with efforts like The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It and Army of the Dead, there have been plenty of opportunities for genre fans to immerse themselves in exciting worlds.
Fortunately, 2021 has kept them coming and one of the latest to demand attention is Nick Simon’s quarantine-filmed American horror-comedy.
So, here’s where to watch Untitled Horror Movie right now…
Where to watch Untitled Horror Movie
- The 2021 film is now available to rent or buy on YouTube and iTunes. It is ready to stream in both the UK and US.
Over on iTunes, the rental price is $4.99 while you can also buy it for $9.99. Alternatively, you can rent it on YouTube (UK price) from £3.49, which is the cost for the standard definition. It is not streaming on Netflix.
Lovers of found footage will be thrilled to know that it utlises the conventions associated with the sub-genre, telling the story of six actors who attempt to make their own horror film after their TV show is threatened with cancellation.
However, their collaborative spirit is challenged when they foolishly summon an actual spirit hellbent on taking them all out.
It was shot remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic and the performers handled the numerous elements of production from their own homes.

A film with “a life of its own”
The 34-year-old star of such efforts as Shadowhunters and Truth or Dare – Luke Baines – recently had a chat with Looper about Untitled Horror Movie.
He actually co-wrote the film alongside the director and revealed during the interview how the project began:
“I had this idea of writing a horror film about a possessed pendulum, and I pitched it to Nick Simon, who I’ve worked with a couple of times on The Girl in the Photographs and Truth or Dare. He was like, ‘It’s a great idea, but let’s, instead of writing a script that we’re hopefully going to make, let’s just shoot it right now.’”
He added: “As soon as he said that, I took a couple of days to think about what that would look like and how it could possibly work. The idea hit me that it should be about a bunch of actors trying to make a horror movie. We just started writing, and it took a life of its own from there.”
