Gary Lineker reacted on Twitter to Tottenham loanee, Gareth Bale, producing a moment to remember and forget for Wales against Turkey at Euro 2020 today.

The Spurs fan favourite provided a stunning assist for Aaron Ramsey in the first half before blazing his penalty over the bar in the second.

When Bale missed his penalty, he would have had his heart in his mouth because it could have potentially been very costly.

But as the time ticked in stoppage-time, and the nerves went through the roof, Bale produced another moment of magic and assisted his second of the game to seal a deserved three points for his country.

It all meant that Wales, who eventually won their Euro 2020 2-0 against Turkey, are now ever so close to reaching the knockout stages of the competition.

Bale may have endured an indifferent season in Tottenham colours during the recently concluded campaign, but the man who won countless number of European Cups in Real Madrid colours turned up for his country today.

And as all the drama unfolded in Baku, this is what Lineker had to say about Bale’s dramatic afternoon in Azerbaijan:

Last time out, Wales reached the semi-finals of Euro 2016, and with the likes of Bale and Ramsey still at the helm, they will be hoping to recreate the magic and togetherness of that tournament.

This could possibly be the final tournament Bale takes part in for Wales, so if they do the inevitable and reach the knockout stages then not many teams will want to face his deadly left foot.
