Liverpool fans on Twitter were wowed by Pedri’s performance on Monday night as the youngster was left frustrated with Spain’s goalless draw against Sweden at Euro 2020.
The 18-year-old bossed the middle of the park as Spain had 85% possession of the ball in their Euro 2020 opener, but they couldn’t break down a pretty stubborn Sweden team.
The Mirror did claim in April that Liverpool want to sign the Barcelona superstar for the summer of 2021.
For such a young age, Pedri is already showcasing great maturity, quick-thinking ability and a brilliant passing range.
But it shouldn’t be a surprise given that its traits that are in the DNA of any Spaniard with a football at their feet.
Nonetheless, Liverpool fans very much liked what they saw from the rising teenager yesterday.
If Spain can go far at Euro 2020 then he may well just be the star of the show for his side.
Yes, they may have started off with only a point to their name, but sometimes it’s good to not peak so early, as Pedri will no doubt be one to watch as the tournament goes on.
