According to Calciomercato, Paulo Fonseca will earn around €5million-a-year when he becomes the new Tottenham Hotspur boss.
Fonseca has emerged as the leading contender for the Tottenham job upon the recommendation of new sporting director Fabio Paratici.
It’s taken almost two months, but it looks like Tottenham have finally found their replacement for Jose Mourinho following his April exit.
What will Fonseca’s salary be at Tottenham?
It’s stated that Fonseca’s deal will be a two-year deal with the option of a third if the Portuguese boss impresses in charge of Tottenham.
His salary at Tottenham is believed to be around €5million, which works out to £4.3million – or around £82,000-a-week.
That would put him somewhere between Sean Dyche and Mikel Arteta in the Premier League managerial earning table, if reports are to be believed.

How much did Jose Mourinho earn at Tottenham?
This alleged deal for Fonseca is a huge change from Tottenham’s last appointment, as Mourinho earned around £15million-a-year.
That’s more than three times what Fonseca will get. Mauricio Pochettino earned half of that, meaning Fonseca is even some way short of the Argentinian.
This at least means sacking Fonseca won’t cost a huge amount if it comes to that, but Tottenham will ultimately hope that he proves to be greater value for money than Mourinho.
