Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers wants to sign Philippe Coutinho from Barcelona in the summer transfer window, according to Mundo Deportivo.
What’s the story?
Rodgers worked with Coutinho when they were at Liverpool, and the former Celtic manager now wants to bring him to Leicester.
The Foxes could make a bid of €20 million (£17.19 million), although The Sun rated the 29-year-old attacking midfielder at £35 million last month.
Barcelona are ready to sell the Brazil international, who can also play as a winger.
Would Coutinho make Leicester better?
Coutinho has not made as big an impact at Barcelona as he was expected to.
However, the Brazilian remains a very good and creative player.
The former Inter Milan man knows the Premier League well.
Coutinho also worked with Rodgers at Liverpool, and the Leicester manager could bring the best out of him.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp described the 29-year-old as “world class” in 2017, as quoted in SportsMole.
Klopp knows a quality player when he sees one, and the German also worked with Coutinho at Liverpool.
A move to Leicester could revive Coutinho and help him get back to his best.
Leicester are a big and ambitious club, and Coutinho could feel that he would be able to replicate his Liverpool displays at the King Power Stadium.
