Fabrizio Romano has claimed on Twitter that Crystal Palace are interested in signing Eddie Nketiah from Arsenal in the summer transfer window.
The well-known and well-respected journalist has added that German club Bayer Leverkusen have been pushing for months to sign the Arsenal striker on a permanent deal.
West Ham United and Watford are also reported to be keen on the former Leeds United loanee.
No future at Arsenal?
Nketiah has failed to establish himself in the Arsenal first team.
The English striker has been given chances by manager Mikel Arteta, but he has not really managed to make a huge impression.
The 22-year-old made four starts and 13 substitute appearances in the Premier League this past season.
The youngster scored two goals and gave one assist in those games.
Nketiah also scored three goals in eight Europa League appearances in 2020-21.
The striker is now the third choice in the team behind Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.
Folarin Balogun is likely to be promoted to the first team next season as well.
Moving to Crystal Palace?
Palace are an established club in the Premier League and are also based in London.
The Eagles will have a new manager next season, and a move to Selhurst Park does sound sensible.
Nketiah is 22 now.
The striker is at a stage where he needs to play regular first-team football.
