The release date for season 3 of Transformers: War for Cybertron, titled Kingdom, has just been confirmed by Netflix!

2020 may have been pretty rough for most people, but it was a historic year for Netflix’s original animated content.

The very last release of the year was Transformers: War for Cybertron season 2. Titled ‘Earthrise’, the second chapter in the trilogy made waves with fans of the franchise past and present.

Now, the release date for season 3 has been officially confirmed by the streaming giant.

Transformers WFC chapter 3…

To most fans, it would have been slightly obvious that Transformers WFC would return for a third season; with Netflix showing faith in the production team with the ordering of a full trilogy.

The third season/chapter in the War for Cybertron series will be called ‘Kingdom’.

According to the official synopsis, Kingdom will be about worlds colliding “when the Maximals and Predacons join the fight, coming together with the Autobots and Decepticons in an epic battle that will alter their destiny forever.

Transformers: War for Cybertron season 3 release date…

  • Transformers: War for Cybertron season 3, titled ‘Kingdom’, will release on Netflix on July 29th, 2021.

The official premiere of season 3 was confirmed as part of Netflix’s recent Geek Week.

Season 3 will release around the world on Netflix exactly five months after season 2 debuted on the streaming platform.

Interestingly, new episodes have released almost exactly six months after the previous chapters became available – meaning that the production team have done an incredible job of meeting deadlines.

The third season is expected to also consist of six episodes.

It is currently unclear whether or not another season of War for Cybertron will be produced, with the ongoing series only labelled as a trilogy.

However, if the series continues its stellar performance, we would not be surprised if another Transformers story is commissioned by Netflix or an OVA is produced.
