The highly-anticipated reboot of the ‘Shaman King’ anime has premiered in Japan, but what date will the series release on Netflix?

Shaman King first debuted on television in 2001 and whilst the translated manga did continue until 2011, that’s still 10 years without any new content.

Thankfully, the fan favourite anime has made its long-awaited return , with the premiere of the reboot series in Japan last month.

So, how can fans around the world watch the latest adaptation of the Shaman King anime and what date will it release internationally?

How to watch Shaman King…

Shaman King will be airing episodes weekly on Japanese broadcasting networks TV Tokyo, TV Osaka, TV Aichi, TSC, TVQ and BS TV Tokyo.

Currently, 52 episodes have been confirmed to be part of season 1, but it is currently unclear whether the series will be split into four different 12-episode cours – as per the Blu-ray release.

Only Netflix has acquired the broadcasting rights for the Shaman King anime series. Due to this, it is highly unlikely that the anime series will be arriving on any other major streaming platforms such as Crunchyroll, Funimation, Hulu or Amazon Prime for some time.
