Jose Mourinho has raved about reported Liverpool target Jude Bellingham on talkSPORT (9:23am, June 11, 2021).

The former Tottenham Hotspur manager believes that Bellingham, linked with Liverpool, has fantastic potential.

The AS Roma boss has added that he loves the 17-year-old Borussia Dortmund midfielder.

However, Mourinho would not include Bellingham in England’s starting lineup in their opening Euro 2020 game.

Eurosport reported in April that that Liverpool are among the clubs who are monitoring the 17-year-old midfielder.

Mourinho said: “Then in midfield there is a player that I love, but maybe I wouldn’t play him in the first game. It’s Bellingham. I think he has fantastic potential.”

Jude Bellingham to Liverpool?

Georginio Wijnaldum has left Liverpool and joined Paris Saint-Germain, and Bellingham could replace him at the Reds.

The teenager has shown in the Bundesliga and in the Champions League what he is capable of.

The former Birmingham City youngster is a very dynamic box-to-box midfielder who can get even better.

Bellingham made 19 starts and 10 substitute appearances in the Bundesliga this past season.

The teenage midfielder also made eight starts and two substitute appearances in the Champions League for Dortmund.

Unlikely Borussia Dortmund exit?

The youngster joined the German club from Birmingham last summer for a transfer fee reported by The Mirror to be worth £20.7 million.

It is unlikely that Dortmund will sell the England international after just one season.

The Bundesliga club will know that if he continues to progress and develop, then the midfielder’s value will rise.

Dortmund could then sell Bellingham for a hefty fee.
