Twitter users have paid poignant tributes to YouTuber Alex Kipsta who died at the age of 17 after a battle with a heart condition.

YouTuber Alex Kipsta, aged 17, passed away on Friday, June 11th, his sister confirmed on his Twitter profile.

Alex passed away following a seven-hour operation having stayed in a hospital for the last one month.

Emotional tributes have poured in from social media followers and those who knew Alex.

Alex Kipsta has died aged 17

YouTuber Alex Kipsta, who was known under the name Kipsta on YouTube, passed away on Friday, June 11th.

His sister confirmed the sad news on Twitter today and said: “Helllo, as you all might already know my brother passed away today.

“He had a very hard operation which lasted 7 hours but his heart couldn’t take it anymore, he was too weak to survive. Heaven gained another angel. he was my rock my everything. RIP Alex.”

Alex previously revealed that he had been moved to an urgent heart transplant list and stayed in the hospital until the procedure.

People pay tributes to Alex

Many of Alex’s followers have taken to Twitter to share poignant tributes after the sad news about his death.

“Alex was one of the most humble people I have ever met,” wrote one Twitter user. “Always with a smile on his face, no matter what. I am absolutely heartbroken, RIP Kipsta.”

“Just saw the news that Kipsta passed away,” someone else wrote. “Followed your journey for 6 months now and I really believed you’d get through this, sadly that isn’t the case. You were one of the strongest people I know and deserved the absolute world. You’re freed from your pain now. RIP Alex.”

Another user said: “Alex is one of the strongest & most inspiring people I’ve ever spoken to. He stayed positive throughout his entire journey, was selfless enough to check up on other people & created funny videos despite what he was going through. Sending love to you & your family, RIP Alex.”

Alex created his YouTube channel in December 2020 where he has amassed 15.1k subscribers at the time of publication.

Many of his followers have urged people to subscribe to Alex’s channel as he had a dream to reach 10,000 followers.

On his channel, the teenager shared videoes watching games of his favourite football club, Manchester United.
