Fans are wondering about who is set to star in the animated film on Netflix. We look at Wish Dragon‘s voice cast, which is set to feature Constance Wu

Wish Dragon is an upcoming Chinese-American fantasy animated movie. The film is directed and written by Chris Appelhans. The Producers include Aron Warner, Chris Bremble and Jacki Chan.

The premise follows a genie in a bottle story, where a young boy stumbles upon a dragon in a pot who can grant magical wishes. The film debuted in China first on 15th January 2021 and is set to release on 11th June 2021 internationally.

Jimmy Wong as Din

James Franklin Wong, otherwise known as Jimmy Wong is an American actor and musician born on 28th March 1987 in Washington, U.S. Which is where he grew up. He later moved to Los Angeles to pursue his career in acting. He is brother to filmmaker Freddie Wong.

Wong was credited with his first acting role in 2010 in an episode of ‘Days of Our Lives’. He has since appeared in over 40 roles as an actor and is most well known for his work in ‘Mulan’ (2020) and now Wish Dragon.

He has 2 upcoming roles which are ‘Nightmare City’ (announced) and ‘Break Cute’ (post-production) which both do not yet have release dates. Fans can follow him on his official Instagram below:

John Cho as Long

John Cho (born Cho Yo-Han) is an American actor born on 16th June 1972 in Seoul, South Korea. He is married to Kerri Higuchi and has 2 children.

Long attended the University of California, Berkeley and graduated with a degree in English. After university, he worked for a while as a teacher. His first credited acting role was in ‘Yellow’ (1997).

Since then, he has appeared in over 100 titles as an actor and is most well known for his work in ‘Harold & Kumar Get the Munchies’ (2004) and ‘Star Trek’ (2009).

He is set to appear in ‘Cowboy Bebop’ this year as well as 2 other titles. These are ‘Don’t Male Me Go’ (Pre-production) and ‘Untitled Star Trek Sequel’ (2023). Fans can follow him on his official Instagram account below:

Constance Wu as Mrs Song

Constance Wu is an American actress born on 22nd March 1982 in Virginia, U.S. She has 3 sisters and is the daughter of a biology and genetics professor. Her parents migrated from Taiwan before she was born.

Wu attended the State University of New York at Purchase, where she graduated with a degree in acting. Her partner is Ryan Kattner and she has 1 child.

Wu’s first credited acting role was in ‘Stephanie Daley’ (2006). She has since been credited in 40 roles as an actress. Wu is most well known for her work on ‘Fresh off the Boat’ (2015-2020) and ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ (2018).

Both her Instagram and Twitter accounts are defunct, as she no longer uses them.

Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Lina

Natasha Liu Bordizzo is an Australian actress and model born on 25th August 1994 in Sydney, Australia. Her mother is Chinese and her father is of Italian Descent.

When she was studying at the University of Technology in Sydney, she was cast in ‘Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny’ (2016). Which is when she began her career in acting.

Since then, she has appeared in 14 more roles as an actress and is most well known for her work on ‘The Society’ (2019) and ‘The Voyeurs’ (2021).
