Celtic have finally confirmed the appointment of a new manager – more than 100 days after Neil Lennon resigned – and Rangers fans on Twitter are delighted to see their bitter rivals appoint Ange Postecoglou as their new boss.
The Greek-born Australian was approached after Eddie Howe led Celtic on a merry dance for three months before opting to stay unemployed, and now heads to Parkhead looking to dethrone champions Rangers after a record-breaking campaign for the Ibrox side.
While Postecoglous has an extensive CV from 25 years of coaching clubs in Asia and Australia, his lack of European experience has led to plenty of doubts over his suitability to take over.
Postecoglou was most recently in charge of Yokohama F Marinos but saw his rein end in embarrassment after losing to a fourth-tier works team affiliated with motoring giants Honda.

After watching Rangers romp to their biggest ever gap over Celtic as they secured the club’s first title in a decade, some Gers fans think Postecoglou’s appointment has already secured title number 56 for Steven Gerrard’s side.
Others are simply left disappointed that the daily banner display outside Celtic Park won’t take place today after the Parkhead side finally got their man.
