Liverpool are said to be considering making a bid for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic this summer, according to Il Messaggero.
Liverpool have apparently been tracking the Lazio midfielder for some time, and could push on with their interest in the coming weeks.
Lazio do not want to sell the Serbian, but Liverpool could still push to land him.
The Reds are said to be considering making an offer through his agent Majeta Kezman.
Kezman actually has described Pogba as being ‘better than Pogba’ previously on Mozzart Sport.
Whether that claim has proven to be true is up for debate, but he could make an appealing addition to Liverpool’s midfield all the same.
The Reds have lost Georginio Wijnaldum this summer, meaning that they may need strengthening in midfield.

The Liverpool Echo have suggested that Klopp doesn’t view buying players in the middle of the pitch a priority.
However, Italian reports suggest that may not actually be the case, with Milinkovic-Savic being lined up.
The perfect addition?
The 26-year-old is a complete midfielder, who is blessed both in an attacking and defensive sense.
His power and height also makes his an imposing physical specimen.
If Liverpool could land him he would unquestionably be an excellent addition to their squad.
However, convincing Lazio to sell their star man could be a real struggle, as their new manager Maurizio Sarri reportedly sees Milinkovic-Savic as an important player.
