Everton have not made contact with Nikola Vlasic’s camp regarding a return to the Premier League but the agent of the CSKA Moscow star is not ruling out a second spell on Merseyside, while speaking to Soccer.
The Toffees may about to find out what they are missing.
Vlasic has been a roaring success since bringing a premature end to his forgettable stint at Goodison Park, blossoming into arguably the best midfielder in Russian football while producing 18 goals and assists last term – a tally Gylfi Sigurdsson, Alex Iwobi and co can only dream of.
There is a real chance that the 23-year-old will start, too, as Croatia kick off their Euro 2020 campaign against England on Sunday.
Vlasic will certainly feel he has a point to prove on British shores.
The 23-year-old joined Everton in the summer of 2017, when Ronald Koeman was still at the helm.
Koeman’s departure just a few months later, however, did Vlasic’s hopes of adapting to life in England few favours.
The subsequent appointment of Marco Silva was then the death knell for his doomed Toffees career, with Everton accepting a £14 million bid from CSKA Moscow in 2019.
But, with the all-action dynamo going from strength to strength in Moscow, it is difficult to dispel the notion that Vlasic’s father was right; Marco Silva had made ‘a big mistake’ letting him go.
Is Nikola Vlasic Everton’s big regret?
Reports report Eastern Europe have suggested this week that the Merseyside giants were looking to right those wrongs by bringing Vlasic back for a second spell at Goodison Park.
Not that his agent knows anything about that, of course.

“Everton has not contacted me about Nikola, and this is not a question at the moment,” he says, before refusing to rule out a prospective return to England’s north West.
“But who knows what the future holds. Everything is possible.”
Vlasic, who believes he is worth £30 million these days, was a target for West Brom in 2020 with Slaven Bilic admitting his admiration for a man who ripped Real Madrid apart in the Champions League group-stages.
