It seems as though Chelsea are willing to let Tammy Abraham leave, but perhaps not to reported destinations such as Aston Villa or West Ham.

The English hitman, who saw his game time slashed at Chelsea during the recently concluded campaign, has seen his name attract interest from the likes of Villa and West Ham.

But the Guardian report that those in the Stamford Bridge boardroom have other ideas because, in order to lure Dortmund superstar Erling Haaland their way, they have suggested using Abraham in a potential cash + swap deal.

The Champions League winners are pretty eager to bring Haaland to West London, but they aren’t willing to pay the rumoured £150 million for his goalscoring talents, hence why Abraham has been offered to try and lower that price.

It would be a blow for Aston Villa and West Ham if such a deal goes through, but thankfully for them, a lot has to happen for that scenario to take place involving the £40 million-rated player.

Given the abundance of attacking talent Dortmund have on their books, Abraham would find himself in a similar situation to the one at Chelsea if he moves to Germany.

West Ham and Villa would be ideal destinations for the penalty-box poacher, who scored 15 goals during the 2019/20 Premier League season.

Abraham knows his way around Villa Park after he helped them earn promotion a couple of seasons ago, so Dean Smith and Co. will feel they hold that advantage.

But the Hammers are in Europe and that lure, including staying in London, hands them an advantage in securing his talents, that’s if he does eventually move on from his boyhood club this summer.

It will also be interesting to see what type of financial muscle those at the London Stadium flex this summer because they haven’t shown signs, in recent years, that they have been to the gym as late.

Whereas Villa, since their promotion to the Premier League, have put their money with their mouth is, including securing their star talent, Jack Grealish, down to a new contract last September.
