Speaking on the BBC Match of the Day top 10 Podcast, Gary Lineker has been waxing-lyrical about reported Liverpool target Jude Bellingham.

Bellingham may only be 17 years old, but the midfielder has certainly caught Lineker’s eye, and if reports are to be believed, he’s also caught the eye of the higher-ups at Anfield.

What’s been said?

Lineker was discussing Phil Foden as he listed his 10 most exciting players heading into Euro 2020, and while Foden was his main focus, he was also very excited by the prospect of Bellingham.

“Of all the young English players, it’s quite exciting isn’t it. Look at Sancho, he plays in Germany and he can play that boy. Bellingham is also there who is what? 17? He’s unbelievable. The two games against City, he was up there with the best players on the pitch.”

“If you’ve got it, it’s the old adage isn’t it? If you’re good enough you’re old enough.”

Serious talent

Lineker is right about Bellingham, he’s an unbelievable talent, especially when you consider his age.

At just 17, the sky is the limit for this young man, and he’s already a key player for one of Europe’s biggest clubs.

The fact that he’s been called up for the Euros tells you all you need to know about his ability.

It’s no surprise to see him linked to a club like Liverpool, but with Bellingham being so talented, it will cost them a lot of money to get him out of Germany.
