According to AS, Nuno Espirito Santo wants to take Valencia striker Maxi Gomez to his next club – which could well be Everton if new reports are true.
Nuno left his post as Wolverhampton Wanderers boss at the end of the season, bringing an end to four largely successful years at Molineux.
The Portuguese boss isn’t expected to be out of the game for long though, and he’s seemingly already planning for a quick return.
Nuno’s next job: Everton or Palace?
It looked like Nuno would be heading for Crystal Palace, with The Telegraph reporting on Tuesday that a deal was close.
However, the Daily Mail now claim that the move is off with Palace fearing that Nuno would instead be moving to Everton.
Everton held talks with Nuno last week according to Sky Sports, and they may now be the favourites to land him with Farhad Moshiri a big fan.

Nuno to move for Gomez
AS claim that Nuno wants to sign Maxi Gomez no matter where he goes, and Valencia are seemingly waiting for a move.
Nuno wanted Gomez at Wolves, and whilst Valencia don’t want to lose the Uruguayan, they may well need the money, even if he’d cost a lot, lot less than his €140million (£120million) release clause.
Gomez, 24, hit seven goals and five assists in 31 games last season, and represents a big, burly centre forward – an intriguing target for Everton given that they already have Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Nuno has clearly wanted Gomez for a while, so his plan to sign him this summer isn’t a surprise – it’s just a matter of where they could join forces now, with Everton most likely.
