According to the Daily Mail, Daniel Ek is now preparing a new offer to try and purchase Arsenal from Stan Kroenke.
Ek’s name was plastered everywhere in April as he indicated on Twitter that he would be interested in purchasing Arsenal.
The Spotify owner admitted that has been an Arsenal fan for much of his life, and Gunners fans really got on board with the idea of him replacing the Kroenkes following the ill-fated European Super League prosposal.
Daniel Ek’s first bid for Arsenal failed
Ek made a first bid for Arsenal in May, declaring on Twitter that an offer was made to Josh Kroenke and their bankers.
The Kroenkes replied by stating they didn’t need the money, seemingly indicating that they wouldn’t be selling Arsenal any time soon.
Ek did though admit that he remains interested – and less than a month on, he could be coming back to the negotiating table.

Arsenal ‘waiting’ for next bid
It’s stated that Ek is ready to made a bid ‘north of £2bn’ having failed with that first offer, believed to be worth £1.8bn.
Arsenal insiders are allegedly ‘waiting’ for Ek to make his second offer, and the increased bid could really ramp up the pressure on Stan Kroenke and co.
Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp and Patrick Vieira are all on board with Ek, and the Swede will hope to get a deal done – even if it happens too late to impact this summer’s transfer business.
