Users react to the feature

A number of social media users have decided to turn off the feature for different reasons and many of them shared their reactions on Twitter.

For example, one person tweeted: “So I REALLY like the News and Weather toolbar the New Windows 10 update came with, BUT I also really wish it was on the LEFT side like the Cortana Toolbar, because I use so many taskbar related things on the right.”

“Updated my daughter’s Windows 10 laptop. Weather on the taskbar is potentially neat but I do wish news wasn’t lumped in with it,” reacted another one.

Someone else added: “Slightly unpopular opinion: I kinda like this weather widget in the taskbar that rolled out in Windows 10 update. My only gripe is that I can’t toggle off the weather warning text.”
