Bobby from Sweet Tooth

‘Sweet Tooth’ is a post-apocalyptic fairy tale, and Bobby may embody that better than any other character.

He is a small hybrid child, who looks far more groundhog than human, and as most of the other hybrid children, Bobby can’t quite talk.

Despite being one of the original characters from Jeff Lemire’s comic series, Bobby looks distinguishably different from what he looked like on paper – and fans are really happy about that.

The oh-so-cute groundhog has won over fans’ hearts, who have been very vocal about their new favourite character.

Fans can’t get enough of Bobby

For many fans, Bobby’s first gold moment was when Wendy (Naledi Murray) dressed him up during episode 5, ‘What’s in the Freezer’.

But most importantly, fans are deeply concerned we may see Bobby in harm’s way in any future seasons.

And even the show’s Twitter has joined the Bobby fan club!

Could we be seeing Bobby in Sweet Tooth season 2?

  • Season 2 of Sweet Tooth hasn’t been officially announced, but plans for more episodes are reportedly in place.

Speaking to the RadioTimes, co-showrunner Ben Schwartz said: “We’re concentrating obviously on the launch for season one, but we definitely broke season one with the hope of future seasons.”

Moreover, given that Jeff Lemire’s graphic novel that inspired the show has 46 issues, there is still A LOT to cover.

To give you an idea of where the story is, the ending of ‘Sweet Tooth’ season 1 – when Gus (Christian Convery) meets Wendy and Bobby – happens somewhere around issue 13 of the original comic series.

And given that season 1 ended on a dramatic cliffhanger, it shouldn’t come as a surprise if ‘Sweet Tooth’ ends up having a follow-up season.

You know what that means: more Bobby!
