Tottenham Hotspur are now targeting Erik ten Hag after talks broke down with Antonio Conte, according to The Mirror.

Spurs reportedly looked at the Ajax manager earlier, but the Dutch club triggered a contract extension clause at the end of April.

With Conte now out of contention, Tottenham are reportedly going back to get the 51-year-old manager.

Ten Hag is a very good and dynamic manager who has done well at Ajax.

The 51-year-old took charge of the Dutch giants in 2017 and has won the Eredivisie title twice.

Ajax play wonderful football under the Dutchman and have also done well in the Champions League.

The former central defender has won a total of five trophies as a manager.

Ten Hag has take charge of a total of 389 matches and has won 246 of them.

The Dutchman’s points-per-match average is 2.07. That means, this past season, under him, Tottenham would have ended up with 78.66 points – more than Manchester United, who finished second in the Premier League table.

Now, of course, Ajax are the dominant team in the Netherlands, and Ten Hag’s PPM is high partly because of that.

However, under the Dutchman, Tottenham could do well and could become regulars in the Premier League top four again.
