Team Downey Productions can be seen making deals with Warner Bros. (previously) and Sonar Entertainment. The name can also be seen on a few big-name TV and film titles.
Fans are now wondering who the faces are behind the company, which is said to include Hollywood celebrities.

- Team Downey is an American production company for TV and Film. The company was founded by Iron Man actor Robert Downey Jr. and his wife Susan Downey.
The company was founded in 2010 and based in Warner Bros. In 2016 the company left Warner Bros. but is still part of the “Top priority projects“. Another member of the production company includes David Gambino as the company’s president of production.

Meet the key people at Team Downey
Robert Downey Jr. is an American actor and producer, born on 4th April 1965 in New York, USA. He is the son of Robert Downey Sr. also a famous American actor and producer and Elsie Ann an actress.
Downey attended Santa Monica High School but later dropped out to pursue a career in acting. His first on-screen appearance was in ‘Pound’ when he was just 5. He later made his breakthrough in ‘Tuff Turf’ (1985).
Downey has appeared in close to 100 titles as an actor and various others as a producer, soundtrack, writer, director, thanks, self and archive footage. He is most well known for his work in ‘Iron Man’ (2008) and his work in Marvel’s Avengers franchise.
He is married to his second wife Susan Downey, with whom he founded Team Downey. They have been married since 2005.
Susan Nicole Downey, born Susan Levin is an American film producer. She was born on 6th November 1973 in Illinois, USA to parents Rosie and Elliott. Susan graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in cinematic arts.
She began her career in cinema as a developer and producer for Threshold Entertainment and later went on to work as vice president of production and Silver Pictures at the same time as being co-president of Dark Castle Entertainment.
Her first credited film role as co-producer was on the 2002 film ‘Ghost Ship’, a year later she was a full producer on the film ‘Gothika’, where she met her husband Robert, with whom she has 2 children.
She has since worked on over 30 titles as a producer and been credited as herself, additional crew and archive footage. Susan now works at Team Downey as the executive president.
David Gambino is a film and TV producer who works as the president of Team Downey. There isn’t much known about his personal life but here is what we were able to find.
He is a member of the Producers Guild of America and is married to Lori Rosene-Gambino, a film and TV writer. His first credited role working in Film and TV was as an assistant director on ‘Heaven!’.
He has since worked as assistant director on one other title, also as an actor, director and additional crew. As a producer, he has been named on 8 titles, one of which is in pre-production.
Gambino is most well known for his work on ‘Perry Mason’ (2020) and ‘The Judge’. For this year he has worked on Sweet Tooth and his upcoming title is ‘A Head Full of Ghosts’ (TBC).
Upcoming titles from Team Downey!
In addition to Netflix’s new DC comic adaptation by Sweet Tooth, which is set to release this month (4th June 2021) Team Downey is set to produce a handful of highly anticipated titles.
These include the continued production of the popular HBO series ‘Perry Mason’ as well as another series for HBO named ‘Sphere’ (TBA) and an upcoming film under director Dexter Fletcher ‘Sherlock Holmes 3’ (TBA).
