Carlton Cole has suggested on talkSPORT (10:27pm, June 3, 2021) that Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane could join Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.
The former Chelsea and West Ham United striker believes that Kane could end up at Liverpool in the summer transfer window.
Cole said about Kane on talkSPORT (10:27pm, June 3, 2021): “What about going to Liverpool? I reckon he could go Liverpool. Why not?”
Harry Kane to Liverpool?
Kane has been strongly linked with moves away from Tottenham in the summer transfer window.
Sky Sports have reported that the striker has told Spurs that he wants to leave this summer.
Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea all are reportedly keen on the 27-year-old.
There are no credible reports claiming that Liverpool want Kane.
But should they?
The Telegraph claims that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy wants £150 million for Kane.
That does sound a lot, but Liverpool are a rich club who will play in the Champions League next season.
Mohamed Salah just missed out on the Premier League Golden Boot to Kane this past season, but Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino struggled.
Firmino is not known for scoring, but he is a number 9.
Kane scores goals for fun, and there is no doubt that the Tottenham striker would make Liverpool better and more potent in attack.
The question now is whether Liverpool would be prepared to pay £150 million in transfer fees for Kane.
