According to The Telegraph, the Tottenham Hotspur squad are excited about the potential of Antonio Conte becoming their new manager.
Spurs still haven’t found a new manager having sacked Jose Mourinho back in April, with a host of names linked.
Speculation surrounding a move for Mauricio Pochettino has faded, and Conte is now the favourite for the job after leaving Inter Milan last week.
It’s now claimed that Spurs are ‘increasingly confident’ of appointing Conte as their next boss with talks continuing over a deal.
The report adds that members of the Tottenham squad are excited about the rumours, viewing the appointment as a real coup.
Many Tottenham players are away on international duty with players who have featured under Conte, and they’re big fans of the Italian.

Conte won the league title with Chelsea and Inter Milan, and Spurs players seemingly hope that he can bring trophy success to North London.
This is all pretty encouraging stuff for Tottenham, and Daniel Levy will hope that this is finally the move to take Spurs forward after Mourinho struggled.
