According to The Telegraph, Daniel Levy will promise Antonio Conte that Harry Kane will not be sold – unless he wants him to move on.

Conte has become the new favourite to become Tottenham Hotspur boss after talks were advanced on Wednesday.

It’s claimed that Levy is ready to sell Conte that Kane will be kept unless he thinks the fee is so good that the money can be reinvested and make Spurs better.

Conte seemingly need assurances that Kane wouldn’t be sold amid concerns that the England international is angling for a move away.

Just how Kane will feel about that promise remains to be seen, but Levy seems confident that Tottenham can stand firm and keep Kane after all.

Additionally, the report states that Conte is hugely impressed by Tottenham’s stadium and training ground, believing them to be ‘among the best in the world’ having visited in the past.

That’s all very encouraging stuff, and if Spurs can reach an agreement on finances, they could actually pull this move off.

Some will have concerns about appointing Conte straight after a similarly volatile character in Jose Mourinho, but Conte’s methods and success are much more recent.

He just won Serie A and won the Premier League in 2017, and is one of the best options Tottenham could possibly go for; Daniel Levy may just be able to get the Italian to North London in an ambitious move.
