Victor Nelsson is interested in a summer move to the Premier League and Copenhagen won’t stop the highly rated defender from joining Crystal Palace or Burnley, as reported by Ekstra Bladet.
Forget Tottenham Hotspur, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Everton.
The most difficult, if not high-profile job, in English football right now is the one Roy Hodgson has just walked away from at Selhurst Park.
As it stands, 14 first-team players are set to leave south London when their contracts expire on 1 July and whoever takes Hodgson’s place in the Crystal Palace dugout will be handed the unenviable task of rebuilding almost an entirely new squad on a shoestring budget.
Don’t be surprised, then, if £9 million-rated Nelsson is the most expensive player on Crystal Palace’s summer hit-list.
Burnley or Crystal Palace for Nelsson?
According to Ekstra Bladet, Copenhagen simply can’t afford to stop Nelsson leaving the Danish capital this summer, with a substantial cash windfall offsetting the departure of arguably the finest centre-half in the Superliga.
‘HOPEFULLY NOT’: Crystal Palace fans fear 47-year-old will replace Ancelotti at Everton

22-year-old Nelsson is also a target for Sean Dyche’s Burnley and it’s understood the defender sees a move to the Premier League as the logical next step in his development.
The Clarets may have an advantage over Palace too, with the report adding the Denmark international doesn’t want to join Crystal Palace until they have a new manager in place.
Nelsson is one of a number of centre-halves on Burnley’s hit-list as Dyche prepares for life at Turf Moor without contract rebel and Leicester City target James Tarkowski.
