According to The Times, Everton are likely to target West Ham United boss David Moyes if Carlo Ancelotti heads to Real Madrid.
It’s claimed that Real are ‘increasingly confident’ of securing Ancelotti as their next manager following Zinedine Zidane’s exit.
Ancelotti is seemingly keen on heading back to Real, and will possibly end his spell at Everton after just 18 months with the club.
Everton are already considering potential replacements, and one of the names on the radar is believed to be Moyes.
The Toffees are considered ‘likely’ to consider Moyes for the job, eight years after he left his post as Everton manager for a move to Manchester United.
Moyes won 42% of his 518 games in charge of Everton between 2002 and 2013, having been lured away from Preston North End.
The Scot struggled after leaving Everton, but has really rebuilt his reputation with West Ham, guiding them into the Europa League this season.
Moyes remains a popular figure with Everton decision makers, especially chairman Bill Kenwright, who may be recommending Moyes to Moshiri.
West Ham are bound to stand firm and attempt to keep Moyes, but some will wonder whether Moyes has unfinished business at Goodison Park.
