According to The Times, Everton are now considering a move for Eddie Howe with Carlo Ancelotti set to leave.
The report claims that Real Madrid are now ‘increasingly confident’ that Ancelotti will be their next manager following Zinedine Zidane’s exit.
Ancelotti has already had one successful spell at Real boss, and looks set for a return to the Spanish capital – and leave Everton in the market for a new manager when few exepected them to be in the hunt.
It’s suggested that David Moyes and Nuno Espirito Santo are both wanted, whilst a deal for Eddie Howe is also being considered.
Howe has been out of work since losing Bournemouth at the end of last season, having suffered relegation to the Championship.
Howe has previously admitted that he was a boyhood Everton fan, so a move to Goodison Park would be something of a dream for him.

The development comes just days after Howe rejected a move to Celtic, with the Bhoys publicly announcing that talks over a deal had collapsed.
Celtic fans would no doubt be a little annoyed if Howe was to land his dream job just after a protracted move to Parkhead fell through, but that’s now a very real possibility.
