Celtic’s move for Eddie Howe has fallen through, but they’re wasting no time in finding an alternative.
A protracted move for Howe has now collapsed, but BBC Sport report that talks are now being held with Australian boss Ange Postecoglou.
Postecoglou is currently in charge of Japanese side Yokohama F. Marinos, and now looks set for just his second job in European football.
Some may wonder who Postecoglou is, as the 55-year-old isn’t all that well known away from Australia and Japan, but one man who knows him well is Tom Rogic.
The Celtic playmaker played under Postecoglou on the international stage with Australia, and was named in Postecoglou’s 2017 Confederations Cup squad.
So what do they think of each other as they prepare to reunite?

Rogic told ESPN in 2016 that he felt Postecoglou was similar to Brendan Rodgers in that they’re both positive and both ‘quite intense’.
That’s a positive for Celtic fans, as they would no doubt love a manager to come in and provide the brand of football and stylistic approach that made Rodgers a success.
As for what Postecoglou thinks of Rogic, he branded the playmaker ‘fantastic’ in 2017, and we could now see Rogic take on a big role at Celtic next season if Postecoglou does get the job.
