Arsenal are going to need a new right-back during the summer.

Charles Watts of Goal.com reported this week that ‘everybody’ at Arsenal ‘is in agreement’ that Hector Bellerin will be leaving the Emirates Stadium.

And although Calum Chambers has shown a lot of promise as a right-back in recent months, the Gunners are going to need a replacement for Bellerin.

According to Sport in Spain, the North Londoners have made contact with a Barcelona player.

The report claims that Arsenal have touched base with Sergino Dest over a move to the Premier League, but the 20-year-old has told the club that he is ‘only thinking about Barca’.

The United States international has had a decent first year at Camp Nou after joining from Ajax last summer.

But Emerson Royal’s imminent return from a stint at Real Betis has thrown Dest’s future into a little bit of doubt, despite making 40 senior appearances for the La Liga club this past season.

Could Arsenal get him?

In a word, no.

According to Bleacher Report, Dest has a £343 million release clause and that pretty much underlines how much Barcelona are excited about the youngster.

It seems like Dest and the club aren’t interested in a transfer of any description and Arsenal – who, interestingly, have also been linked with Emerson – will have to look elsewhere for Bellerin’s replacement.
