Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea won against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in the Champions League final last night.
Kai Havertz scored the only goal of the game in the 42nd minute when Mason Mount found him with a wonderful ball.
Chelsea were the better side and deservedly won the final in Porto.
City had 60% of the possession, but Pep Guardiola’s side had just one shot on target.
Chelsea dominated the middle of the park, and defensively they simply did not give space to City.
However, the Citizens might feel aggrieved by one controversial incident.
On the hour mark, Kevin De Bruyne had to be substituted after a challenge from Antonio Rudiger.

The Belgium international midfielder went down following the clash with Chelsea defender Rudiger.
De Bruyne was taken off and had a black eye, while Rudiger continued to play.
Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand was following the Champions League final for BT Sports, and he did not think that Rudiger meant to injure De Bruyne.
Ferdinand said on BT Sports 1 (10:55pm, May 29, 2021): “I thought it was cynical from Rudiger, but I don’t think the intension was to take him out of the game completely.
“It was to stop him and block him, and it went horribly wrong for De Bruyne there.”
Would City have fared better had De Bruyne not gone off injured?
Maybe, but then again, the Citizens could not really do much when the former Chelsea player was on the pitch.
