According to The Athletic, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp sees parallels between Andy Robertson and Ben Davies.
It has been reported that defender Davies has been told that Klopp sees parallels with how Andy Robertson needed time to adjust to the Liverpool team’s style of play.
The Scotland international left-back joined the Reds from Hull City in the summer of 2017.
It took Robertson a while to find his rhythm at Anfield, but the 27-year-old is now one of the best left-backs in Europe.
Davies joined Liverpool from Preston North End in the January transfer window for £500,000.
The 25-year-old has not made a single appearance for the Reds, and has had injury and fitness issues.
Davies will find it hard to break into the Liverpool team next season.
Ibrahima Konate will be moving to Anfield. Klopp will also have Virgil van Dijk, Rhys Williams, Joel Matip, Joe Gomez and Nathaniel Phillips as his centre-backs.

Competition will be intense, and it will be interesting to see whether Davies gets the chance to play.
Liverpool manager Klopp may be willing to give Davies time, but would the defender be happy not playing?
As things stand, there is a very good chance that the 25-year-old may not even get into matchday squads if all the centre-backs are fit.
