According to Eurosport, Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy is likely to keep Gareth Bale at the club next season.

It has been reported that Tottenham have an agreement in place with Real Madrid whereby the North London club are able to re-sign the winger for next season on the same terms.

The report has added that Spurs chairman Levy is likely to take up that opportunity.

It has been further claimed that despite Zinedine Zidane leaving Madrid, Bale, 31, does not want to spend the final year of his contract at Madrid.

Gareth Bale back at Tottenham Hotspur?

Bale had fitness issues at Spurs during his loan spell this season, and Jose Mourinho did not always play him regularly.

In the end, the winger made 10 starts and 10 substitute appearances in the Premier League.

The Wales international scored 11 goals and gave two assists in those games.

Bale also scored three goals and gave one assist in the Europa League for Tottenham.

The winger showed in the final games of the season under Ryan Mason what he is capable of.

A new manager could get the best of Bale, especially as he is now fully match fit and will play for Wales at the Euro 2020 finals this summer.
