Mauricio Pochettino to Tottenham Hotspur is gathering some momentum.
Pochettino was fired by Spurs about 18 months ago but the fact Tottenham need another manager, combined with the Argentine’s early struggles at Paris Saint-Germain, have given rise to suggestions that a shock return is on the cards.
The Athletic claimed on Thursday that the North Londoners have already opened talks with the PSG boss about returning to North London.

The 49-year-old has only been in the French capital since January.
But his failure to win the Ligue 1 title is already considered quite a failure by virtue of the fact that they have the likes of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe and yet still finished one point behind new champions Lille.
According to The Times, it would cost Tottenham around £10 million to buy out Pochettino’s contract at Parc des Princes.
It’s quite a substantial figure but low enough to tempt chairman Daniel Levy if he really is interested in hiring Pochettino as Jose Mourinho’s long-term successor.
The Lilywhites didn’t win a trophy under the South American in any of his five years in North London, but he certainly did elevate the club to a new level, typified by their Champions League final defeat by Liverpool two years ago.
